Barbara Sue O’Conner, 71, of Iowa City went to be with Our Lord on Friday, May 11, 2018. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Barbara was born September 20, 1946 in Iowa City, the second of twelve daughters born to Bernard and Lenore Wagner O’Conner. Barbara was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a cosmetologist by profession for a number of years. Barbara loved to travel, having visited many areas of the US as well as places in Mexico. On many holiday afternoons Barbara could be found enjoying the game of Mexican Train Dominoes with her sisters. She will be deeply missed and loved eternally.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Andy) McGarvey, grandsons Campbell, Sawyer and Harrison of Corona, CA, sisters Cheryl Neely of Lone Tree, Teresa Mackey of Greenland, AR, Bernadette (Steve) Rotter of New London, Jerilynn O’Conner of Iowa City, Angela (Glenn) Eakes of Bettendorf, Christine (Tom) Burr of West Liberty, Regina (Enrique) Flores of Ramona, CA, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Colleen Williams, Judy Abby, Mary Eakes, Annette O’Conner, niece Mary JoAnn (Joni) Williams, many aunts and uncles.
