Calvin Stutsman Dies Thursday January 12
Calvin Stutsman, 75, died Thursday evening, January 12, 1961 at 9:15 in a nursing home at Wilton Junction. He had been a life long resident of the Sharon community near Kalona.
Mr. Stutsman was a brother of Dr. E.E. Stutsman of Washington.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Sharon E.U.B. Church with the Rev. Howard Marty in charge. Burial was made in the Sharon Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Peterseim Funeral Home.
Calvin Stutsman was born in Johnson County November 28, 1885, son of Eli and Anna Marner Stutsman. He had farmed in the Sharon community most of his life.
He was a member of the Sharon E.U.B. Church and Masonic Fellowship Lodge 549.
Survivors include his widow the former Nellie Niffenegger; one son, Eldon of near Iowa City; a brother, E.E. Stutsman of Washington; two sisters, Mrs. L.J. Miller and Mrs. Sanford Yoder of Goshen, Indiana, and six grandchildren.
