Patricia Anne Lamoreux was born in Marshalltown, Iowa the daughter of Marcus and Jeanette Jones Lamoreux. She graduated from the University of Iowa and Drake Law School. Patricia married Jeff Carty on October 30, 1982 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple were seperated at the time of Patricia's death. She was a member of the Sharon Center United Methodist Church and the Iowa Bar Association.
She is survived by her children: Matthew and Katie Carty of Kalona, her parents of Eldora, Iowa, two sisters: Melinda Lamoreux of Windham, Connecticut and Mary Lamoreux of Kalona and two brothers: David of Marysville, Washington and Marc of Story City, Iowa. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Patricia was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial fund has been established for her children's education or for the American Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank everyone for the kind expressions of sympathy and love shown to them at this time of loss.
