Ralph Troyer, 86

Ralph Newton Troyer, 86, of Kalona, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 1996, at Mercy Hospital after a short illness.
Services will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Sharon Center United Methodist Church with the Rev. Samuel Hahn officiating. There will be no visitation. His body has been donated to the University Anatomy Department.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made out to the Sharon Center United Methodist Church or the Hills First Responders. George L. Gay Funeral Home and Crematorium is in charge of arrangments.
Mr. Troyer was born Oct. 20, 1909, in Johnson County to Jacob and Eva (Schrader) Troyer. He graduated from Sharon Center High School and married Miriam Willimas Aug. 19, 1941, at the Welsch Church. He was a member of the Sharon Center United Methodist Church , a 50-year member of the Masonic Fellowship Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star Corona Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Diane Troyer of Van Nuys, Calif., Judy Dobbs of Edmunton, Canada, and Nancy Ritter and her husband, Scott, of Sharon Center; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
One brother, Alva Troyer, and one sister, Ethel Troyer, died earlier.
