Pauline Rink, 97, of Coralville and formerly of Rock Island, died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Brown Deer Place in Coralville.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Lensing’s Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Road in Coralville. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:00 am at Lensing’s Oak Hill. Burial will follow in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Pauline Rink Memorial Fund.

Born May 11, 1920 in Edgington, Illinois, the daughter of Merle and Ruth (Asquith) Robison, Pauline grew up in Edgington. She graduated from Reynolds High School in 1938 and then attended business school. Pauline accepted a job as an office clerk for John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company in Rock Island. Her supervisor would later become her lifetime friend and companion - she married Roland W. Rink November 1, 1952 in Edgington.
Pauline was active in the Edgington Presbyterian Church and Order of Eastern Star – Andulusia Chapter 617, where she served as past Matron.

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Stiers (Ronald) of Mesa, Arizona; her grandchildren, Kimberly Auxier (Brent) of Tomball, Texas; Kevin Stiers (Kimberlee) of North Liberty; three great grandchildren, Jared, Jocelyn and Jeremy Auxier; nephew Bill, and two nieces Sharon & Elizabeth; and her best furry friend Alma, the resident cat at Brown Deer.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband and a brother and his wife, Donald & Joyce Robison.
