Joel Scholz, 65 passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Friday, January 19, 2018 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Coralville. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on Friday, at the church, before the mass. Private burial will immediately follow the mass. Instead of flowers and plants, memorials may be made to the American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Joel is survived by his children Mark (Lisa) Scholz and Laura (Stephen) Samuel; best bud Deb Steinbaker; sisters Rita Scholz and Mary Anne Halvorson; brother Nick (Kathleen) Scholz; his granddaughter Brooklyn and four nieces and nephews.
