Liz’s purpose in life changed forever when she gave birth to her beloved & precious daughter Timber Scholl on February 10, 2009, affirming her new purpose to be an amazing mom.

Liz lost her life to breast cancer that was found in June of 2010. She decided to fight this horrific disease with surgeries, chemotherapy & radiation. The breast cancer spread to other areas in her body & she continued to receive a variety of treatments through her oncologist, Dr. Ghosh in Cedar Rapids. In October of 2015, a tumor was found & removed from her brain. Liz continued to receive treatments for her many health issues until this fall, when her body could no longer tolerate it. Even then, Liz was hopeful that a miracle would happen & she would be cured & have a second chance of life. She was admitted to Respite Care at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City on December 12, 2017 & was cared for by the loving nurses & aides in the Hospice Unit.
