Willie Boyd, 84, of Columbus Junction died Saturday at Mercy Hospital after a long illness.

Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction, with burial in Columbus City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A general memorial fund has been established.

Mr. Boyd was born Nov. 27, 1906, in Conesville, son of Hugh and Carrie Leffler Boyd. He married M. Lois Sands June 19, 1937, in Washington. He worked at Weber-Huston Grain Co. in Columbus Junction, retiring in April 1972.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Larry of Salt Lake City; one daughter, Merry (Mrs. Tom) Wasson of Columbus Junction; two sisters, Callie Hesseltine of Columbus Junction and Ethel Campbell of Muscatine; one brother, Jess of Placerville, Calif. and seven grandchildren.

One sister and four brothers died earlier.
