Alydia Dorothy Kaalberg, 79, a former resident of West Liberty, died Saturday at the Muscatine General Hospital after a long illness.
Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with burial in the Nichols Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8:30 p.m. today at the West Liberty Chapel of the Barker Funeral Home, where a scripture wake service will begin at 8 p.m.
Miss Kaalberg was born on Feb. 18, 1911, in Nichols, daughter of William H. and Johanna Giesen Kaalberg. She was a former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and lived in Muscatine since 1951.
She is survived by two sisters, Margaret Kinnan, of Rock Island, Ill., and Mary McAnally, of Blakesburg; two brothers, Joseph of Iowa City and Leonard of East Moline, Ill.
One brother and one sister died earlier.
