Patricia J. “Pat” Herman, 83, of Washington, Iowa, died Thursday, October 19 at the McCreedy Home in Washington.

Pat was born in Muscatine County, the daughter of Arthur and Clara Fay Meyer Timmsen. She graduated from Durant High School in 1951.

Pat was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sigourney, IA.

Survivors include her sons, Douglas Dietz of Washington, IA and Neal (Cathy) Dietz of Ames, IA; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Delores (Rob) Meineke and Barbara (Delmar) Frick both of Durant, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Wayne and daughter-in law Debbie Dietz,

Private family burial will be held in the Durant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed toward the McCreedy Home in Washington, Iowa or Hospice Compassus of Washington, Iowa.
