Leon “P” W. Scott died August 22nd due to injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident in Minnesota.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 26th from 5 to 7 PM at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
P was born July 7, 1964 in Iowa City, the son of Norman and Alice Roeder Scott. He was a 1982 graduate of City High School. P was maintenance engineer at the Sheraton Hotel.
P enjoyed riding his motorcycle, finding trinkets, tooling with his hands and Hot Wheels. P loved his secondary family, especially his grandson Wyatt.
P is survived by his life partner Dawn Blaszczyk; his siblings, Marsha Brunsvold, Sue Brenneman, Steve Ward, Tom Scott and Noel Scott; best friends Scott and Gerri Loring and their children Amanda James and Brandi Loring; Dawn’s children Marie, Zachary, Nicholas and Stefany Blaszczyk and grandchildren Wyatt, Molly, Aiden, Noah, Emma and Kyland; nine nieces and nephews, Chad, Chris, Tami, Corey, Lisa, Lindsi, Nathan, Jesse and Alesha; and extended framily.
P was preceded in death by his parents.
