Roseann E. Farr, 84, of Iowa City, died Friday, August 11, 2017 at Solon Nursing Care Center.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am at the Riverside Cemetery in Riverside, Iowa. Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City is handling arrangements.

Born February 19, 1933 in Iowa City, the daughter of Carl and Gladys (Harkey) Bock, Roseann grew up in Iowa City. She attended University High School.

Roseann married Jim D. Farr on January 27, 1951 in Iowa City. While working to raise their 7 children, she also worked in food service at the University of Iowa in Burge Hall.

She is survived by her children, Debra Scherrer (Ed) of North Liberty, Linda Krantz (Dave) of Washington, Iowa, Brenda Miller (Steve) of Iowa City, Patricia Prybil (Tom) of Riverside, James Farr (Marcia) of Iowa City, Lisa MacDonald (Les) of Riverside and Teresa (Kevin) Elliott of Solon; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and a sister, Donna Hyndman of Wellman.

Roseann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim and a special friend Bob Gumtow.
