Daniel Joseph Meyer, 25 of Denmark, Iowa died Thursday, August 10th at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
A time of fellowship for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 2nd from 11 AM to 3 PM at The Crossing, 1600 West Jackson Street in Macomb, IL.. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Easton Meyer Educational Fund c/o the United Community Bank in Macomb, IL.
Daniel was born December 3, 1991 in Macomb, the son of Michelle Foxall and Randy Meyer. He married Shayla Capps on February 9, 2015 in Fairfield, Iowa.
Daniel lived in Denmark, Iowa and Macomb, IL, where he did construction and was an electrician. He loved to fish and race. Most important to Daniel was his son Easton. He was a wonderful dad and enjoyed teaching Easton how to fish and dirt bike. Time spent with family and friends was important part of Daniel’s life.
Daniel is survived by wife Shayla and their son, Easton of Denmark, IA; his mother, Michelle Foxall Feit and step-father, Paul Feit of Flanagan, IL and his father, Randy Meyer of Dallas City, IL; his brothers, Calvin (Annie) Meyer of Warsaw, IL and Kenny (Anne) Meyer of Macomb, IL; step- brother, Aaron Feit of Lexington, IL; grandparents, Ken and Sarah Foxall of Macomb,IL and Joann Meyer of Dallas City, IL; step- grandmother, Alice Feit of Normal, IL; niece and nephew, Ella and Barrett Meyer; and numerous extended family.
Daniel was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herbert “Bud” Meyer.
