Martha A. Fisher, 91, of Iowa City, formerly of Aurora, CO, passed away, Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Mercy Hospice Care Unit, Iowa City. A Private Service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in The Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.

Martha was born on August 11, 1925 in Havelock, IA, the daughter of Lloyd and Florence (Herscher) Emary. She was united in marriage to DeWayne Fisher on November 4, 1944 in Providence, Rhode Island. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2005 in Canon City, CO. Martha enjoyed cooking, hosting social gatherings, sewing, travel and dancing.

Martha is survived by her two children, Gene Fisher of Iowa City, IA and Teresa Fisher of Byers, CO; three siblings, Elmer Clayton, Velma George, and Robert Emary; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and daughter Marie Reinders.
