Feleena Marie K. Hopewell, birth name, Naidene Jean Adams, 58, entered the arms of her loving God on Friday, December 30, 2016.

Born April 21, 1958, in Iowa City, IA, to parents, Edward J. Geniece and Annie May Lewis.
She grew up in Dubuque, IA, at Hillcrest Children’s Services (Orphanage.) Feleena graduated from Stephen Hempstead High School in 1977. She came to Iowa City in 1979. She met her favorite singer, Marty Robbins in 1980 and formed a strong bond with he and his wife Marizona. In 1983, Nadine chose the name of Feleena from Marty Robbins’ biggest hit, El Paso that came out in 1959.

An informal time of sharing stories and memories will begin at 1pm Thursday, January 5th at the River Community Church in Iowa City. Burial will take place at a later time at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville, TN in a grave next to her lifetime idol, Marty Robbins.
