Richard R. Green, 58, of North Liberty, died December 12, 2016.

Funeral services will be held in Chicago at Leak & Son’s Funeral Home with burial at Burr Oak
Cemetery in Alsip, Illinois. A memorial service will be held in Iowa City in the future.
Memorials in Richard’s name may be made to the Richard Green Memorial Fund at the
University of Iowa Community Credit Union (UICCU). Online condolences may be shared with

Richard Reon Green was born November 29, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois; son of Marjorie (Watts)
and Alonzo Green Sr. After high school he graduated from Chicago State University. He
worked for many years at Pearson at their Cedar Rapids location.

His family includes his love and dear friend, Frances Levack; daughter, Niaonie Aidoo and her
husband, Jonathan; Frances’ children, Avery McWallace and his wife Jordan and Leroy
McWallace; grandchildren, Niyah and Enam Aidoo and Deacon McWallace; siblings,
Marquietta Beemon and her husband William of Matteson, IL, Patricia Delaney of Wheaton, IL,
Juanita Green of North Liberty, IA and Frankie Johnson of New York, New York. Richard’s
family also includes his nephews, William Beemon and Curtis Green and his nieces Sierra Green
and Tamika Morton as well as many, many friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Curtis Green and Alonzo Green Jr.,sister,
Yvonne Green and nephew Raymond Delaney
