Richard “Rick” E. Knebel, 57, of Coralville, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 12 at 1:00 pm St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hills, Iowa. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family invites you to join them for a luncheon at the church Parish Hall following the burial. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 pm on Friday, November 11 at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Richard E. Knebel Memorial Fund.

Rick was born September, 27, 1959 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Andrew and Phyllis (Jordan) Knebel. On October 6, 1984, Rick married Cindy (Owen) Knebel in Hills, Iowa.

Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He was very passionate about his career and business. He took pride in his true and honest craftsmanship, which served many community members.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Cindy, and their two children, Paige and Edward; his siblings, Nancy (Ron) Horrell, Steve (Marcy) Knebel and Mike Knebel; and his sister-in-law, Pat Knebel. Rick is also survived by his loving extended family including numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Phyllis, and his brother, Jim Knebel.
