Vera “Pauline” Lynch, 89, of Solon passed away peacefully Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Solon Assisted Living Village.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Monday, November 7, 2016 at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 6 at the funeral home. A luncheon at the Kirkwood Room will follow the committal. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Pauline was born March 31, 1927 in Hamburg, Iowa the daughter of Robert and Thelma (Harris) Ozenbaugh. On August 19, 1947, she married Cleo L. Lynch at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City.

Pauline worked for over thirty years in the dietary payroll office at the University of Iowa. When not working she enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren, Jordie and Nicholas.

Pauline is survived by her two loving children; two grandchildren, Rod (Kim) Lynch of Osage Beach, MO and Deb (Dave) Johnson of Solon and their children Jordie and Nicholas and her sister-in-law, Bernadine (Marvin) Goody.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cleo; her parents, Robert and Thelma; one grandson, Colton and her sister, Mary Badger.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at the Solon Assisted Living Village for caring for Pauline.
