Mark C. Johnson, 52, of Iowa City, died Monday morning, October 24, 2016 at the Iowa City Bird House - Hospice Home of Johnson County.

At Mark’s request, no services will be held. Memorials may be directed to The Bird House / Hospice Home of Johnson County.

Born January 16, 1964 in Iowa City, the son of Marvin F. and Patricia (Halloran) Johnson. He grew up in Iowa City and graduated from Iowa City High School in 1982. Mark loved dogs and shared his gifts as a volunteer with the Iowa City Animal Shelter for 18 years – walking dogs.

Survivors include his mother, Patricia “Pat” Johnson and a brother Phil Johnson, both of Iowa City.

His father Marvin F. Johnson preceded him in death.
