MRS. SCHMIDT IS DEAD AT DAUGHTERS HOME.
Mrs. Elizabeth Schmidt passed away last evening at 8 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Bartosky, 622 E Jefferson Street after an illness of about four weeks. Mrs. Schmidt was 86 years of age and leaves seven children, two sons and five daughters, Mrs. K. Bartosky and Mrs. Frank Viehotacky of Iowa City. Mrs. Mary Kouba of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. James Longer of Washington, Iowa, Mrs.Ben Miller of Chitima, Alaska, Albert Schmidt of Union Township and Frank Schmidt of Cedar Rapids.Also, two sisters Mrs. Barbara Novak of Iowa City and Mrs. Henry Leuherman of Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Schmidt has lived in Iowa City for the past four years coming here from Cedar Rapids. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Wenceslaus Church.
