Danielle Fulton, 48 of Iowa City passed away Thursday, July 28 surrounded by her family at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Danielle’s life will be held on Sunday, August 7 from 1-3 pm at The Kirkwood Room, 515 Kirkwood Avenue, in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the Friends of the Animal Center Foundation or the Fur Fun Rescue.

Danielle “Danie” was born August 15, 1967 in Iowa City, the daughter of William Fulton and Vicki Curran. She graduated from Iowa City High School and went on to get her BSN at the University of Iowa. Danie was currently a nurse at the V.A. Medical Center in Iowa City.

The only thing Danie loved more than her dogs was her family. She was passionate about nursing and caring for other people. Danie had a wicked sense of humor, enjoyed fishing, metal music and loved watching White Sox games with her son, Alex.

Danielle is survived by her loving son Alex Huberty; her mother, Vicki Curran; her sister, Darcie (George) Wolf; her two nephews, Jacob and Isaac and her niece, Ursula.

She was preceded in death by her father William Fulton.
