Diana L. (Jacobsen) Gilbert, 62 of Coralville died Monday, June 27, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Services celebrating Diana’s life will be held from 11 – 2 pm Saturday, July 2, 2016, at 307 2nd SE, Nora Springs, Iowa 50458.

Diana L. Jacobsen was born May 21, 1954, in Charles City, Iowa the daughter of Harold and Donna (Losee) Jacobsen. Following graduation from high school in Nora Springs, she later attended and graduated from NIACC, which she always said how proud she was to be one of its alumni. She moved to the Iowa City area with her children in 1986, here she worked for the University of Iowa as a catering manager, and as a sales associate for Sears for many years before its closing in Coralville. She loved being around people, helping them in whatever way she could, developing many friends’ along the way.

Her family includes her two sons, Jeromee Jacobsen and Nathan Jacobsen (Kimberly Burnett); 3 grandchildren, Brock, Carter and Taylor Rae; 8 sisters, Caroline Massee, Joyce Craig, Cheryl Morrison (Bob), Connie Downing (John), Christie Reynolds, Sheila Craig, Carmen Bryant (Tom) and Shannon Brierly (Randy); and 28 nieces and nephews.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents, and a nephew, Devin Craig; and three brothers-in-law, Kurt Massee, John Craig, and Duane Craig.
