Robert Frank Vesely, 86, of Coralville, died March 28, 2016, in Des Moines after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Bob was born July 6, 1929 in rural Ainsworth, Iowa to James and Emilie Vesely. He was a graduate of Iowa City High School and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by a son, Frank, of Iowa City; a daughter, Jean, of Des Moines; one grandson, Michael, of Iowa City; two brothers, John, of Rockville, MD and Arden, of Edna, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews in the U.S., Canada and Colombia, South America. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cenaida and a brother, James.
