With rejoice for the life he gave us, we are saddened by the passing of our father, grandfather and great grandfather, Daryle D. Houseal, 81, on March 16, 2014, in his sleep from natural causes, at his home in Muscatine, Iowa.

Daryle was born in Iowa City, Iowa in 1932, raised in Muscatine, Iowa, and after his discharge from the Navy in 1955 moved with his wife, Carol to Santa Ana, California. Daryle was a long time resident and employee of the City of Santa Ana. Y-Indian guides, Boy Scouts, Southwest Little League, Pop Warner Football, and high school sports filled his early family years and led into years of enjoyment watching his grandchildren grow into accomplished adults. In retirement, Daryle and his wife Carol, left Santa Ana and returned to Muscatine, Iowa for a slower paced life; although, they returned for many years to winter at the beach.

Daryle is survived by his sons, David and Micheal of Muscatine, Iowa, Todd and his wife Sheryll of Brea California; his grandchildren and their spouses: Tara and husband Bret, Shannon and husband Marty, Rachel, Amanda, Tony, Nicole and husband Harrison, and Ryan; his grand-children, Conner, Hannah and Andy; and his son in law, Tom.

Daryle was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Houseal and his daughter, Judy Freres. Daryle was laid to rest with his wife at Memorial Park Cemetery, Muscatine, Iowa, on March 22, 2014.
