Terry E. Reynolds, 69, of Iowa City, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at UIHC.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America or City High Alumni Association.

Terry was born November 18, 1946 in Iowa City, the son of Henry and Thelma (Dubisher) Reynolds. Following graduation from City High School, he joined the Army Reserves. Terry was united in marriage to Christy Kelso in October of 1969 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City. He worked as an equipment manager for the City of Iowa City and then an office manager at Linder Tire before retiring.

Terry was a past member of the City High Alumni Board, and also served on the Babe Ruth Baseball Board. He coached his children’s soccer and baseball teams, and later also umpired for Babe Ruth Baseball. Most of all, Terry was an enthusiastic fan rooting for City High and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Terry is survived by his wife, Christy; two children, Ty Reynolds (Sheila Buccola) of Dixon, IL, and Amanda Reynolds of Oskaloosa ; sister, LuAnn Reynolds (Dave Parsons) of Iowa City; mother-in-law, Phyllis Kelso of Iowa City; nephew, Camden Kelso (Kelly Beard and her son Noah); niece, Gretchen Kelso; and many extended family.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
