Lori Naomi Austin, passed away peacefully at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics on December 25, 2015. A Celebration of Life Ceremony in memory of Lori is being planned for later this Spring. Lori was born on December 29, 1970 in Iowa City, Iowa and spent her early childhood in West Liberty, Iowa. She moved to Storm Lake and then in 1980 to Spencer, Iowa where she graduated from Spencer High School in 1989. Lori completed her BSW in Social Work at The University of Iowa in 1993. Her career started as a Social Worker for the State of Iowa and spanned several jobs as a project manger spending the last 10 years at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics working as a project manager in the Pathology Department.

Lori is survived by her 13 year old son Julian Jordan; his father Taivian Jordan; Taivian’s children Rajah and Raziel; parents Noel (Karen) Austin, Doug and Mary Pat Jones; sister Katie Austin; brother Andrew (Victoria) Jones; Aunt Tammy (Darrell) Kruckman and Uncle Michael (Julie) Raftery; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Loris “Sandy” and Vera “Kurlee” Austin, and Jim and Catherine Raftery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Gofundme site established in Memory of Lori for her son Julian Jordan
