Darlene Louise Garringer (Clements), 63, died Saturday, November 21st at Mercy Hospice.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, November 25th at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Darlene Garringer Memorial Fund.

Darlene was born September 11, 1952 in Iowa City, the daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth “Betty” Goss Clements. She married Joe Garringer on May 1, 1980.

Darlene was employed as the deli manager at DeliMart#5 in Iowa City. Most important to Darlene was her family and the loyal customers she served. She enjoyed watching the Oakland Raiders.

Darlene is survived by two children; her son, Chris Garringer of Iowa City and her daughter, Jennifer Garringer of Iowa City; former spouse, Joe Garringer of Oxford; grandchildren, Whitney, Collyn , Caleb, and Christopher; three siblings, Mike (Sue) Clements of Iowa City, Evie Clements and Jodey Clements, both of Coralville; numerous nieces and nephews.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and sister Nancy Clements
