Jeffrey “Jeff” Alan Crawford, 53, of Iowa City died suddenly on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Mercy Hospital.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave. Iowa City. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will at Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jeff Crawford Memorial Fund.

Jeff was born May 14, 1962 in Iowa City, the son of Richard and Sondra (Wilson) Crawford. He graduated from Iowa City West High School, Class of 1980. He worked for the City of Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department for over 30 years. Jeff enjoyed cheering on the Iowa Hawkeye Football team, Miami Dolphins, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was an avid Nascar fan and loved Chevy Trucks! He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother Sondra of Iowa City; his sister Judy McNair of Iowa City; brother-in-law Wade McNair of North Liberty; nephew Giles McNair (Kimberly) of Virginia Beach, VA; niece Cari McNair of Virginia Beach, VA; great niece Belle McNair; and special friend Peg Piere of Iowa City.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father.
