Janice E. Koehler-Wise, 67, of rural Kalona, died Monday, November 2, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Graveside services will be held at 2pm Sunday, November 8, 2015, at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Online condolences can be shared and a more complete obituary found on the website of the funeral home @ www.gayandciha.com.

Janice Elizabeth Miller was born November 5, 1947, in Iowa City the daughter of Paul and Mildred (Arndt) Miller. She graduated from Solon High School with the class of 1965. After nearly twenty years of being together, she married Kevin Wise on April 20, 2008. For over twenty years she worked for the former Kalona Plastics Company. Jan enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, her gardens, the wildflowers, but most of all she loved her family, especially her son, Ian and his music and cooking skills!

Her family includes her husband, Kevin Wise; son, Ian Koehler of Iowa City; sister, Beverly Worrell (Jim) of Solon; brother, Joe Miller (Kathy) of Iowa City; mother-in-law, Rita Furhmeister of North Liberty; father-in-law, George Scharf-Wise of North Liberty; sister-in-law, April Tipton of Tiffin; brother-in-law, Chris Wise of Cedar Rapids; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Michael Molyneaux.
