Bruce D. Rogers, 56, of Waterloo, died Friday, October 9, 2015 at his son’s home in North Liberty surrounded by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held Thursday, October 15th at the Cedar Falls Community Center from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.

Memorials may be directed to the Bruce Rogers Memorial Fund.

Bruce was born June 22, 1959 in Waterloo, the son of Paul and Helen (Murray) Rogers. He grew up in Waterloo and graduated from Central High School – also in Waterloo.

Bruce met and later married Robin Imes on July 25, 1986. Bruce and Robin divorced after more than twenty years of marriage but have remained close friends.

He worked in retail sales for many years for Menards. Bruce enjoyed fishing , baseball and NASCAR. He was a loyal fan to the Iowa State Cyclones as well!

Bruce is survived by his children, Derek (Katrina) Rogers of North Liberty, Noel (Taylor) Seawel of Osceola and Courtney (Jesse) Rickert of Hudson; 4 grandchildren, Kiana, Emma, Kendra and Jody; 1 sister, Sally (Mark) Brandhorst of Ankeny; half brothers and sisters, Wilma Kobliska (Harlan), James Rogers (Jean), Gary Rogers and his former wife, Robin Rogers of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a half sister, Paula Rogers.
