James F. "Jim" Leaven, 64, of Iowa City, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Solon Nursing Care Center.

Jim was born in Chicago, IL on January 18, 1951. He moved to Iowa City where he attended the University of Iowa and earned his M.B.A. He married Mary Fitzpatrick on April 14, 1990, and shared the rest of his life with her. He worked at the University of Iowa, retiring from Sponsored Programs.

Jim is survived by his wife Mary, son Alex Leaven of Ann Arbor, MI, and sister-in-law Kathy Fitzpatrick.
