Betty M. Hansen, 87 formerly of Urbandale, died Thursday, June 25, 2015, at the home of her daughter in Iowa City where she has resided the past 3 years.

Betty Mae Krieger was born December 16, 1927, in Perry, Iowa the daughter of Raymond and Luella (Daniels) Krieger. She attended schools there in Perry, graduating from Perry High School. She was united in marriage to Gail Hansen. The couple made their home in Urbandale where they raised their family and she cared for them all.

Her family includes her daughter, Sharon Hansen of Iowa City, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gail; sons, Kirk and Mark; and her brother, Dale Krieger.

No public services are planned. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City is caring for Betty’s family and her arrangements.
