Russell G. “Russ” McCreedy, 61, of Iowa City, passed away at his home, Saturday, June 20, 2015.

Russ was born December 24, 1953, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City; son of Charles E. and Betty G. (Washburn) McCreedy, who preceded him in death.

Surviving family includes his brother, Mike McCreedy and his wife, Julie of Iowa City and their sons, Eric McCreedy and his wife, Stacy and Tyler McCreedy all of Iowa City and special friend, Kata Alvidrez.

In accordance with Russ’s wishes, no public services will be held. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Russ’s arrangements.
