Gary L. Stunes, 67, of Wellman, formerly of Cedar Rapids and Iowa City passed away peacefully at home with his wife Sherry by his side on May 30, 2015.

Gary was born September 9, 1947, in Little Falls, MN to Donna and Loye Stunes. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.

He spent his adult life as a general contractor. Gary enjoyed collecting antiques and was an avid collector.

Gary married Sherry on October 25, 1988. He is survived by his children Mike Stunes and Michelle Klamerus. Gary also had two step-children Tony (Lori) Bolanos and Teresa (Joe) Hart, five Grandchildren, a sister, Rita Harper, a nephew, Daniel Stunes and many special friends.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at a later time. Condolences can be sent to his wife Sherry at PO Box 422, Wellman, IA.
