Eileen M. Beier, 90, of Iowa City, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Manor Care Health Services in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Foundation - Department of Psychology.

Eileen Beier was born on April 4, 1924 in New York, New York to Lee and Eleanor (Eves) Beier. She graduated with a Ph.D. in Psychology from Yale University. Eileen worked for Ohio State University and the University of Iowa as a researcher -- she had a bright mind and a quiet wit.

Eileen is survived by her sister Merilyn (Rex) Hartwell of Tucson, Arizona, and several cousins.
