Marcia Ann Landuyt, 66, of Coralville, formerly of North Liberty, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Lantern Park. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, October 15 at Lensing Funeral Home, 605 Kirkwood Avenue in Iowa City, where visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time. Burial will follow at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The Marcia Landuyt Memorial Fund.
Marcia was born October 2, 1946 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Mildred Sass. She was a 1964 graduate of University High School and later went on to work as a Supervisor for Qwest Communications for over 35 before retiring in 1999. Marcia was a lifelong resident of Iowa City.
Marcia enjoyed camping and loved spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the North Liberty American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her two daughters: Kim Landuyt of Atlanta, GA and Debbie (Lynn) Rhinehart of North Liberty, a brother Maurice (Sherry) Sass of Riverside seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Maynard.
