J. Annette Meyer, 74 of Coralville died Friday, August 31, 2012, at the Lantern Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Coralville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Saturday, September 8, 2012, at First Christian Church in Coralville. Graveside services will be held at 2:30pm Saturday at the Trinity Cemetery in Mt. Union, Iowa. Memorial donations can be made in Annette’s memory to First Christian Church. Online condolences may be sent for her family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com.

Annette was born August 21, 1938 in Burlington, Iowa the daughter of Walter and Marie (Flayharty) Meyer. Following graduation from Mt. Union High School in 1955, she attended and graduated from the University of Iowa, and later from the University of Denver with her Master’s degree. She has made a career in broadcasting both radio and television, working in Dallas, Texas, New York, New York, and Denver, Colorado. Annette was an avid reader, she enjoyed collecting dolls, loved her music and especially her cats.

Her family includes her four nieces and one nephew; Gretchen Brister, Aubrie Meyer, Anna Shinpaugh, Katrina Meyer, and Major Dennis Meyer, U.S.Army.. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Jean A. Meyer., and her brother, Robert Meyer.
