Blanche Smahel Volesky widow of William B. Volesky, died at her home 2010 Mallory St. SW, Thursday. She was born in Johnson county April 25, 1886, and lived on a farm near Swisher before moving to Cedar Rapids about 15 years ago. Her husband died February 24, 1943. Only survivors are a brother, Edward Smahel of Swisher, and a number of nieces and nephews. Services: Janeba funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. John K. Moore of the Asbury Methodist Church. Burial Czech National Cemetery, Friends may call at the funeral home.
