Shearon Contreras, 85, of Iowa City and North Liberty, died Sunday, April 15th at Iowa City Care Center.

Family services are planned at a later date. Arrangements were with Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service.

Shearon was born April 27, 1929 in New York, New York. She was married to Nicholas Contreras in Chicago, where they resided for many years. Shearon moved to Iowa in 2004 to be near family.

Survivors include her three children, Cynthia, Angelo and Gregory; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Ganos of Lake Villa, IL, Shaila Hickey of Davenport and Stacie Ganos of Coralville; seven great grandchildren, Hailey, Emma, Nicolas, Sariyah, Tavien, Kallen and Kenley.

Shearon was preceded in death by her husband.
