Robert E. Hansen, 81, of Iowa City passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Briarwood Health Care Center. In respect of Robert’s wishes, no local services will be held. Robert’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staffs of Iowa City Hospice and Briarwood for the compassionate care that was shown to Robert and his family during this time.
Survivors include his wife Mary of Iowa City, a son Rusty (Becky Soglin) of Iowa City, and two daughters: Jennifer Hansen of Duluth, MN and Kathleen Hansen of Iowa City. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Roberta McGhee Gorman and a son Paul Jay Hansen.
