Dorothy Desmarteau died Dec. 8. She was 93.
Mrs. Desmarteau was born April 5, 1018, in Iowa City, Iowa. In 1944, she married Ed Desmarteau in Milwaukie, Wis. and they moved to Tacoma, Wash. In 1956, they moved their family to Oregon. She and her husband owned and operated rental stores in Salem.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990. She is survived by her eight children: David (Mary, Dorothy Coughlin, John, Barbara, Kathy Fabos (Greg), Ed (Kim), Karen Timpani (Mark), and MaryAnn Dierdorff (Skip); 23 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Queen of Peace Church a Salem.
