Diane R. Wilson, 52, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, following a courageous battle with breast cancer. Memorial Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, December 20 at Lensing’s Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Rd. in Coralville, where a light reception will follow the service. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
Diane was born on April, 15, 1959 in Ft. Madison, IA, the daughter of Raymond and Ardis (Saar) Wilson. She was a 1977 graduate of Ft. Madison High School and later went on to earn her Bachelors degree from The University of Iowa. On June 11, 1988, Diane married Randy Allison in Ft. Madison. For over 20 years, Diane was employed by the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, most recently as an Evening Shift Supervisor for security.
In her free time, Diane and Randy loved to travel, both throughout the U.S. and internationally. She was also an avid scrapbooker and loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her husband Randy of Coralville, her two brothers: Dave (Kim) Wilson of Cedar Rapids and Steve Wilson of Bettendorf, IA; and her nieces and nephews: Bryce, Brant, Kurt, Danielle and Natalie. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
