Glenn Yeries, 92 of Greenwood manor formerly of 604 E. Davenport, Iowa City died Friday, September 19, 2003 after a lengthy illness.

Glenn choose to be cremated. No services are planned. His remains will be buried at Oakland Cemetery in Solon, Iowa. Memorials may be made in his name. Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service is handling his arrangements.

Glenn was born July 5, 1911 in Sugarbottom Newport Township the son of Barney and Anna (Koss) Yeries. He farmed for twenty five years and later he worked for the University of Iowa as a custodian for twenty years retiring in 1979.

He is survived by two brothers, Leo Yeries and his wife Mary of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lawrence Yeries and his wife Lottie of Hills, Iowa; one sister,Dorothy Schroder of Tipton, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His parents, four brothers, William, Melvin, Frank and Harland and by three sisters, Rose, Lenora and Frances.
