Funeral services for Beulah Haury Coover, age 67, of Erie, Kansas, were held Thursday, September 27 at the First Christian Church in Erie, Kansas with the Rev. Fred Jordon officiating. Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Erie was in charge of arrangements. A second service was held Saturday, September 29 at the West Branch United Methodist Church in West Branch, Iowa with Barker Funeral Home in charge of the West Branch Service. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Iowa City, Iowa.

Beulah was born May 5, 1923 in Waukon, Iowa, Allamakee County to Louis and Minnie (Fish) Beall. She attended schools in Waukon, graduating from the Waukon High School. She taught school near Postville, Iowa for three years. She was employed with the Owens Brush Company now known as the Oral B Toothbrush Company at Iowa City, Iowa for 27 years working in the mold department. She had resided in Conesville, Iowa and West Branch, Iowa before moving to Erie, Kansas in 1986. She was first married to Edward Haury in 1940. He died in 1979. She and Allen Coover were married April 26, 1986 in West Branch, Iowa. Mrs. Coover was a member of the West Branch United Methodist church in West Branch, Iowa.

Beulah died Monday, September 24, 1990 at her home in Erie, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Edward Haury, her sister Hazel McGinnes who had resided in Waukon, Iowa and two siblings, Frances Marion Beall and Marie Dorothy Beall who both died in infancy.

Beulah is survived by her husband, Allen Coover of Erie, Kansas, her son, Edward Haury of Solon, Iowa; 3 daughters, Joyce Ferrell of Moline, Illinois, Beverly Stolfus of Solon, Iowa, and Karen Anderson of Iowa City, Iowa; 4 step-sons, Donald Coover and Kelly Coover, both of Galesburg, Iowa, Brian Coover and Dave Coover, both of Erie, Kansas; 3 step-daughters, Laurie Reed of Galesburg, Iowa, Julie Kent of Arkansas City, Arkansas, and Toni Augustin of Smithville, Missouri; 7 grandchildren and 15 step-grandchildren; and a brother, Carl Beall of Waukon, Iowa.
