Adolph J. Hotz Services Held

Adolph Joseph Hotz, 83, of R.R.4, Iowa City, died Monday October 7 at University Hospital in Iowa City, following an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the George L Gay Funeral Home in Iowa City, with Rev. Albert Best officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. A memorial fund has been established.

Mr. Hotz was born January 11, 1902 in Iowa City, the son of Joseph W and Frances (Krelik) Hotz. He attended Lone Tree High School.

He married Della Parizek on February 10, 1931 in Iowa City. The couple farmed southeast of Iowa City most of their lives. He was a member of the Johnson County Farm Bureau, Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge, both of Iowa City.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Gaylyn of R.R.4, Iowa City; three grandchildren, Michael and Robert Hotz and Barbara Wilton; and one sisters, Edith (Mrs Harold) Fouchek of Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers were Howard Berry, Steve Berry, Bill Hotz, Jeff Hotz, Mac VanKirk and Bill VanKirk.
