Florence F. Kondora, 87, formerly of 330 N. Lucas St., died Tuesday morning in Solon Nursing Care Center, Solon, after a long illness.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Burial: Oakland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Donohue-Lensing Funeral Home and after 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Survivors include a son, George N. of Iowa City; and two brothers, Nate and Fred Moore, both of Iowa City. Also surviving are two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Karl.

Born March 29, 1905, in Iowa City, the daughter of Nathan and Jane Smith Moore, she married George Kondora there on June 20, 1923. He died July 16, 1992.

She had been employed for many years as a sales clerk at Yetter's, J.C. Penney's and Strub's department stores. She had also been employed for 10 years by University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Mrs. Kondora was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Johnson County Sunday School Association and TOPS.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Solon Nursing Care Center for their sincere and compassionate care of Florence during her stay.

The Rev. Roy Wingate will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the church or donor's choice.
