Jennifer M. Blake, 30, of Iowa City, chose to end her life on May 10, 2011.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City.

Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 am at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials to the Iowa City Friends of the Animal Center Foundation.

Jennifer was born September 19, 1980 in Iowa City, the daughter of Randy Blake and Candace

Osweiler. She attended schools in Iowa City and Tiffin. Jennifer was soon going to start work for Goodwill of Eastern Iowa.

Survivors include her father, Randy (Cinda) Blake of Wayland and her mother, Candi (Randy) Osweiler of Williamsburg; brothers, Michael Blake of Iowa City and Braden Blake of Wayland, sisters, Caitlin Osweiler of Williamsburg and Peyton Blake of Wayland; grandfather, James Blake of Iowa City; aunt, Jane Blake of Iowa City uncle, Brian Blake of Iowa City, aunt, Tracey (Mike) Myers of Williamsburg, a nephew, Cale Blake of Lockport, Illinois, cousin, Trevor Gobush of North Liberty, cousin, Katie Blake and her son Preston of Iowa City and a large extended family.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her nana, Rachel Blake and her grandparents, Weston and Paula Gilbride.

Jennifer’s family wishes to share that "life is too precious – and no obstacle is too great to overcome".
