Funeral services for Margery L. Moffitt, age 74, Iowa City, Iowa, were held Thursday, April 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Iowa City with the Rev. Robert Busher officiating. She died Monday April 27, 1987 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City with Donohue-Lensing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

She was born December 11, 1912 in Iowa City, Iowa *names of her parents are not listed but her maiden name was Fry* and married Howard Moffitt on May 29, 1934 in Iowa City, Iowa. Howard Moffitt was formerly a teacher and coach in the Waukon School district. She had been employed at The University of Iowa parking and security offices before before retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. Thomas More Church and the Iowa City Women's Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

She is survived by her husband, Howard; a daughter Mary Foraker of Iowa City, Iowa and a son Howard Moffitt, also of Iowa City, Iowa; and a granddaughter, Randi.
