Kenneth R. "Kenny" Hill, 77, of Conesville, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Trinity Hospital in Muscatine, Iowa from complications of heart failure.

Kenny was born August 5, 1933 in Conesville, the son of Norval and Susie (Schlapkohl) Hill. A lifelong resident of the Conesville area, Kenny graduated from Columbus Junction High School. Ken served as an Airman 1st Class in the US Air Force during the Korean War from 1953 to 1957. He was united in marriage to Kay Hurlbut on June 11, 1960 in Muscatine.

Kenny worked for Oral B Laboratories (formerly Owens Brush) in Iowa City for 32 years as a tool & die maker, retiring in 1995. He also farmed for many years in Louisa County and was a member of the Conesville United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Kay of Conesville; son Donald Hill of Conesville, daughter Tammy (Allen) Nicklaus of Tripoli; a granddaughter Katie Nicklaus (fiancé Matt Novak) of Tripoli and a sister Norma (Bob) Hurlbut of Muscatine.

His parents preceded him in death.
