DEATH CLAIMS CLIFFORD STRUB

Clifford J. Strub passed away lat evening, at 8:15 o'clock, at his home on 32 West Market street.

He was 24 years of age, and had spent all his life in Iowa City. He had been ill during the past nine weeks, suffering from a complication of heart and lung troubles.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Conrad Strub, two brothers and four sisters. His father, the longtime stage manager of the Coldren, died about two and a half years ago.

The young people of the family are Edward and Alvia, brothers; and Gertrude, Lucy, Urania and Mary, sisters.

The funeral will take place Saturday morning, at 9 o'clock, from St. Mary's church, with requiem high mass. The interment will be at St. Joseph's cemetery.
Was Excellent Young Man

The young man was formerly connected with Schneider Bros. store, and was also in the laundry business, both as an employee and part-owner of plants.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the University lodge of Fraternal Bankers' Reserve. Among his society brothers, and throughout the city, he was well-liked and highly-esteemed -- and deservedly so. He was a young man of honesty, energy and industry, and his pleasant ways and warm heart won friends on every side.

"Clif", as he was familiarly styled by scores, will long be mourned.
